Afghan Refugees are living in Pakistan for several decades. Initially they are living in camps but after sometimes refugees get scaterred in both urban and rural areas of Pakistan. Majoriy of the refugees are living in KPK and Balochistan but they can be found in Punjab, sindh and Islamabad. Afghan refugees has both positive and negative consequences to economy, security and local culture. This study will try to understand the macro and micro level impact of Afghan refugees on national income. At the same time, socio-cultural impact of Afghan refugees will also be analyzed in the study. The study is initiated on the request of SAFRON and is funded by German government. In this project CIIT is partnering with FAFO and NMBU. The project will build the capacity of CIIT and the department of Development in particular. Faculty and student of the department will be involve in the project
