One of the most common cause of dementia with increasing age is the Alzheimer’s disease (AD) in which there is a progressive decline in brain activity leading to functional disability. Therefore to minimized the progression of AD there is a need for searching new compounds with their anti-alzheimers activity.
Diabetes mellitus, the third major cause of mortality on the globe is a chronic metabolic disorder associated with abnormally increased blood glucose levels either due to defective secretion of insulin or its action or both. Currently available drugs have their associated gastrointestinal side effects. So there is need of searching new anti-diabetic drugswith fewer side effects
The joint research project seeks to address the void of Pakistani social science graduates from German universities. Unlike in the natural science disciplines the training of young academics from Pakistan and subsequent research collaboration has been inadequate to date, both in qualitative and quantitative terms.
