The Electric Vehicles Research Group at the Department of Electrical Engineering, COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus is dedicated to advancing sustainable transportation technologies through interdisciplinary research and innovation. The group brings together faculty members, researchers, and students working on the design, control, optimization, and integration of key electric vehicle (EV) technologies.

 

Integrated Technical Expertise

Our members collaborate across three critical layers of the EV ecosystem:

  • Power Electronics and EV Converters: Development of efficient power conversion systems, motor drives, charging infrastructure, and energy management solutions.
  • Electric Motor Design: Research on high-performance traction motors, electromagnetic modeling, control strategies, and efficiency enhancement for EV applications.
  • Battery Management Systems (BMS): Design and implementation of intelligent battery monitoring, state estimation, thermal management, safety, and battery health optimization techniques.
